Coordinated drug raids net five arrests | Aiken Standard | Aiken, SC: "James Forrest, 25, is charged with distribution of crack cocaine, distribution of crack within a half-mile of a school, trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine within a half-mile of a school, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana within a half-mile of a school.

Yolando Baskett, 26, is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana within a half-mile of a school.

An infant and a small child were also in the home. The children were taken into protective custody and released to family.

At the Columbia Avenue home, narcotics officers served a search warrant and found the location was wired with surveillance video.

Police said the cameras were set up to keep an eye out for the narcotics officers.

At the home, police found a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to officials.

Caletha Gibson, 39, and Leah Jones, 26, were detained there.

Gibson was charged with simple possession of marijuana. Jones is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia."

Drugs 'Mr Big' jailed for cocaine operation | Glasgow and West | STV News: "William Byrne, 25, was caught during a massive police undercover operation. On Monday at the High Court in Glasgow he was told by judge Lord Matthews: 'You were involved with the supply of cocaine over seven months or so and you did that for money.
'You obviously were the main player, although your record up to now has been minor.'

The court heard that almost one-and-a-half kilos of cocaine with a street value of at least £250,000 was seized during a series of swoops on mules transporting drugs for Byrne."

Police arrested the adult occupants, Ronald Bergamino, 28, of Mount Pocono, Lauren Riches, 25, of Stroudsburg, Edward Matthews, 28, and Casey Matthews

one-year-old child was placed in county custody, and four adults are under arrest, following a traffic stop in Pocono Summit.

Police stopped the car for a suspended license. A female passenger was recognized by police and that triggered a search, with a K-9, who detected heroin. More than 150 bags of heroin were found in the car.

Police arrested the adult occupants, Ronald Bergamino, 28, of Mount Pocono, Lauren Riches, 25, of Stroudsburg, Edward Matthews, 28, and Casey Matthews, 27, both of Milford.

The young child was turned over to Children and Youth of Pike County. The parents were charged with endangering the welfare of a child. All four suspects are charged with possession with intent to deliver and other drug crimes.

Suspected heroin dealer surrenders to SWAT team - Spokesman.com - June 17, 2010: "Jacob E. Snizik, 25, tried to run from a home in the 6800 block of North Napa Street when a SWAT team showed up about 5 p.m., but “the scene was so well secure” that he retreated back inside, Officer Brian Eckersley said.
Snizik armed himself with a handgun but surrendered without incident a short while later after a SWAT sergeant talked to him over the phone, Eckersley said.
Police say they seized five firearms and found heroin and drug sale supplies in Snizik’s home. Snizik is a convicted felon, which means he’s prohibited from possession firearms. He was booked into Spokane County Jail on five counts of first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance (heroin).
Snizik was sentenced to 22 months in prison in 2008 after pleading guilty to second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and residential burglary and first-degree theft, according to news archives. He also has convictions for second-degree theft and possession of a controlled substance."

They were also charged with having the drug in their possession in circumstances which denoted it was not for their personal use.
The three men were arrested after the police found 220 grammes of cocaine in their hotel room in Bugibba.
One tried to leave Malta on a ferry to Sicily after realising that the drug had been found by the police."

Lt. Scott Ware of the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad said three Gainesville men were arrested during an investigation that involved MANS, the Gainesville-Hall Gang Task Force, the FBI and the Gainesville Police Department.
The suspects delivered three kilograms of cocaine to a pre-arranged location at 224 Atlanta Highway Wednesday, Ware said today.
They were arrested without incident. The men intended to sell the cocaine for $87,000, Ware said. The drugs had a street value of $300,000, he said.
Natalio Avila-Zuniga, 25, Manuel Esteban Garcia-Gonzalez, 28, and Ernesto Gomez-Rosas, 21, remain in the Hall County Jail without bond, charged with trafficking in cocaine."

Investigators from the Dennis Police Department and the federal Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force, who had been tracking Reyes and Jimenez-Simo since November, arrested the two men Dec. 5 on Route 25 in Bourne as they returned from New York City with the drugs, according to the Cape and Islands District Attorney's office.
The cocaine, valued at more than $88,000, was stored in a television set in the rear passenger seat."

Sisters sentenced for smuggling suspected drug money | Houston & Texas News | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle: "San Benito sisters were sentenced to federal prison Monday for trying to smuggle into Mexico nearly $400,000 of suspected drug money that had been picked up in Houston.
Zu-Haidy Berenice Torres, 31, and Karla Judith Torres, 25, were each sentenced to two years in prison for evading a currency reporting requirement, according to federal authorities.
They each must also serve three years of supervised release.
They were convicted Jan. 7 after pleading guilty.
Federal officials said the pair tried to smuggle $399,113 in cash across the border at the Los Indios International Bridge in Brownsville on Aug 12.
Karla Torres told authorities a man in Mexico she knew only as “Gordo“ paid her $5,000 to pick up the cash in Houston. She said she believed the cash was drug money, though officials did not elaborate on her contention.
Federal officials said Karla Torres told them she picked up the money in the parking lot of a Houston Wal-Mart, where a man she didn't know gave her a black briefcase stuffed with the cash.
Once she got to the Rio Grande Valley, she asked her sister to help her smuggle the money across the border.
At the border crossing, agents noticed that the sisters appeared nervous and searched them and their Ford Expedition.
They discovered cash hidden in the lining of the women's purses and stashed under the SUV's back seat, federal authorities said.
Federal regulations require people to declare money in excess of $10,000 when they cross the border into Mexico"

The raid was the conclusion of three months of investigation by Delaware and Maryland Police concerning drug distribution in Sussex and Wicomico counties, police said.The three men arrested have been charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, manufacturing cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for the the purpose of keeping controlled substances as well as other relates charges. All were arraigned and remanded to Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of being able to post bail.

Dion Anthony, 25, of Williams Street, New London, pleaded guilty in U.S. District court Friday to distribution of cocaine base.Authorities said Anthony sold crack cocaine on three occasions last summer during controlled purchases by federal and local law enforcement officers. Officers said they discovered more than 2 ounces of powder cocaine, nearly an ounce of crack cocaine and 15 marijuana plants when they served an arrest warrant at Anthony's house on Oct. 30.
Anthony faces a maximum of 40 years in prison and a fine of up to $2 million when he is sentenced April 10.

John Andrew Blenkinsop, 25, of Huntley Close, and Lee Alan Cunningham, 23, of Grendon Walk, pleaded guilty to taking part in the drugs plot.They conspired to supply heroin and cocaine between August 12 and September 26, Teesside Crown Court was told yesterday. Cunningham also admitted possessing heroin with intent to supply on September 25.Prosecutor Jolyon Perks said Cunningham's address was raided by police. He said: "The quantity of diamorphine that was recovered from that address was part and parcel of a stash that he and his co-conspirators were distributing." Judge George Moorhouse adjourned the case for pre-sentence reports. He remanded Cunningham in custody and allowed Blenkinsop conditional bail saying: "The mere fact that I'm asking for a report mustn't give you false hopes."

Jose G. Delgado, 25, aka “Z,” of 2325 N. Gonnam Road, Morris was charged with three counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, all Class X felonies carrying mandatory prison sentences of 6-30 years with no possibility of probation.
Robert F. Tanner, 28, of 136 DeLeon St., Apt. 1, Ottawa was charged with two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, both Class X felonies. Ashley C. Arwood, 25, of 2325 N. Gonnam Road, Morris was charged with two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, both Class X felonies.
The arrests follow a months-long investigation by Ottawa Police Department Narcotics Unit, the FBI and U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.
An Ottawa Police Department press release issued Tuesday stated all three subjects were involved in a powder cocaine dealing investigation dating back to spring 2008 and that it may have ties to the Almighty Latin King Nation, specifically from the Aurora area. Police said Delgado is a known member of the gang.
Delgado was ordered held on $200,000 bond; he needs to post $20,000 in cash to be released from custody. Arwood and Tanner both were ordered held on $150,000 and need to post $15,000 in cash.
