St Vincent manheld for $1m cocaine | Trinidad Express Newspaper | News: "52-year-old St Vincent handyman is expected to appear before an Arima magistrate today, charged with attempting to export $1 million worth of cocaine.
Police said around 4 p.m. on Saturday, the man disembarked from a Liat flight from St Vincent and made his way to Piarco Airport's intransit section to await Caribbean Airlines Flight 610, which was destined for the Pearson International Airport in Toronto, Canada.
A team of Organised Crime, Narcotics and Firearms Bureau officers, who were on duty at the time, noticed the man's 'suspicious' actions and searched his bags. Police said they found a quantity of cocaine hidden among his clothes.
He was taken to the Arima Police Station and charges of attempting to export cocaine as well as possession of such were laid against him."
