Ferry passenger faces charges for coke, heroin possession: "31-year-old man is facing charges after he was arrested at the Departure Bay ferry terminal with one-and-a-half kilos of cocaine and heroin.

Nanaimo RCMP arrested him as he walked off a BC Ferry Saturday at 8:30 p.m.

Police searched the man and his belongings and discovered one kilogram of heroin and half a kilogram of cocaine.

Police are recommending charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and a charge of obstruction, which stems from the suspect providing a false name to officers."
