756 kilograms of cocaine seized in Panama

Panamanian police forces said on Thursday that they seized 756 kilograms of cocaine in three operations late Wednesday.

The raids were carried out in the country's Pacific and Atlantic coastal areas, Gustavo Perez, national police director, said.

The seizures bring the total drug seizures across the country to nearly 13 tons this year.

Panama has long been used by international drug cartels as a transit point to smuggle drug from South America to the United States.
