Two foreigners detained in drug smuggling attempt in Yerevan Armenia News - NEWS.am: "On December 11, National Security Service of Armenia (NSS) foiled drug smuggling attempt at the Yerevan airport.
Methamphetamine, a strong drug, was detected in the luggage of two foreigners, the NSS press service informed NEWS.am. The drug was hidden in the hole made in a suitcase. Organizer of the crime was arrested as well. Being searched in Meghri (southern region of Armenia bordering with Iran) he attempted to escape.
A total of 3 kg 680 g of methamphetamine was detected at the Zvartnots airport and Meghri checkpoint. Criminal proceedings have been instituted."
