Maryland: Man convicted of possession with intent to distribute

Maryland: Man convicted of possession with intent to distribute: "Lindsay, 26, whose address was listed as the county detention center, was also convicted by a jury of possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia in the incident which occurred June 9 at the 7-Eleven store on Salem Avenue, according to trial testimony.
His sentencing was deferred until Dec. 14, Assistant Public Defender Charles Bailey said after the trial.
The jury acquitted Lindsay on charges of distribution of cocaine, criminal conspiracy to distribute cocaine and additional charges of possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records said.
A confidential informant testified Wednesday that she told task force agents that she knew a man with the street name “Fresh,” who was selling cocaine and also had her mother-in-law’s laptop computer. Fresh wanted $300 before he would give the computer back, she testified.
Agent David Fortson testified that the informant was given $800 in marked bills, $500 of which was to be used to purchase cocaine. Fortson testified Fresh was Darnell Washington, 25, of Hagerstown, who was the target of the investigation."
